Always Learning- Nov.2013

Just like everyone else I continue to learn, explore and spread my wings. Working on the Adobe Generation Professional course Digital Creativity in the Classroom has brought more opportunity to explore, play, rejoice, and reflect. Being able to learn along side peers and colleagues from around the globe sharing ideas, techniques, successes and failures is part of what learning and growing looks like in today's world.
I hope the young people I teach continue to stretch their belief in themselves and find that each struggle that may seem like failure is really just the opening of a new adventure. I look forward to sharing many with both my students and others alike.
This was a bit challenging- creating the book trailer. Many challenges and finally some success with a variety of computer and video equipment. Most important was that I learned from the challenge.

Here is another way to add a Recent Comments to your blog.

Steps to Add Recent Comments Widget

We will add recent comments widget in blogger blog with the help of existing Feed widget of blogger.

• Log in into your Blogger account and select your blog.
• Then go to Layout tab from the left hand sidebar.
• Then click on Add a Gadget option and find the 'Feed' widget.
• After that click on Add to Blog means ‘+’ icon to add this widget to your blog.
• Then you have to add the feed url. We will add the comments feed url to show the recent comments.
• Copy and paste the below given url by changing the blog address with your blog address.

 Now your you should get a recent comments box.- BEFORE you save change the Title from FEED to Recent Comments.

Adding a Recent Comments gadget

In order to add a Recent Comments gadget/widget to your blog you will need to open another tab and go to this website: http://helplogger.blogspot.com/2012/03/recent-comments-widget-for-blogger.html
Make sure you have your blog open to the dashboard as well.

Changing your Display Name

Here are the steps to change your display name so that it doesn't tell others your real identity.
1- Go to your blog

2- Go to the dashboard

3- Go to the upper right corner below the browser ribbon where you see the picture icon and your current Display Name.

 4- Click on the small arrow next to the Display Name.
 5- Go to Blogger Profile- select it.

6- Then click on the orange button Edit Profile.

7- Then scroll down to where you see the text box for Display Name on the left hand side. Enter the safe protecting your identification Display Name.

8- Scroll all the way to the bottom and click the orange SAVE button.

9- Check the View Blog and make sure your updated and school safe Display Name is on your blog!!!
